Apollo IV Special Edition “Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games” is almost the same weelchair than Apollo IV “Paris 2024″Edition, also displayed on the stand.
It was designed and manufactured in spring 2024.

It is an active and luxuous wheelchair.
It is entirely handmade from birch plywood.
It is very high-performance, weighing only 9.5 kg with all its equipment (wheels and cushions).
It features a French flag in the middle of its backrest, made from recycled plastic bottle caps.

Wings are sculpted at the user’s ankles, a nod to the Greek god Hermes, god of movement, reinforcing the dynamic and sporty look of the wheelchair.

This wheelchair is a so-called ‘city’ wheelchair, i.e. a wheelchair that is not specifically designed for sports, but is nevertheless able to cope with the challenges of everyday life.
To demonstrate what the Apollo IV Paris 2024 edition wheelchair was capable of, its creator, Paul de Livron, took part in a 10 km night race through the streets of Paris at the end of the Olympic Games on 10 August 2024.

After this first racing experience, Paul de Livron wanted to take on a more serious challenge with this wheelchair, and successfully participated in the Paris Marathon in April 2025.
The wheelchair showed no signs of wear during or after the race and is still like new, despite the many kilometres travelled on cobblestones, proving that wooden wheelchairs are sufficiently sturdy.
This wheelchair, created as a demonstration model, is not for sale, but it can serve as a basis for the production of a wheelchair according to a customer’s specific requirements.
